 | Definition of a baby (by Marion Lawrence) | Aug 19, 2007 |
"that which makes the home happier, love stronger, patience greater, hands busier, nights longer, days shorter, purse lighter, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, the future brighter." | | On this month, Therese started to put her feet in to her month :) Therese also had a blood test as recommended by her Pedia, she was pale.

 | | I had another vaccine but I did not get sick because I am healthy :) I am in good hands :) On November 3, I attended a costume party of Ate Monica, Tita Ailene's first baby. Tita Ailene is Mommy's friend from office. My only costume was a headband with bunny ears which Tita Imee bought for me. I enjoyed a lot though I slept the rest of the party :) Daddy, Mommy, Lola, Lolo, Ninang Gina, Ninang Love, Ninong Walter, Tita Imee and all my cousins had a great time strolling in SM Mall of Asia. My first time to stroll in a mall. I had a great time too taking pictures with my cousins, Ate Angel, Ate Maxine, Ate Yanni, Kuya Gio, Kuya Migel and Kuya Wacky. Afterwards, we had a dinner at Seaside. The sad part was that I was not able to eat seafoods. Mommy just gave me my milk and I slept. What a busy day for me but I had great time with my family... |
 | | I start to grasp small object placed in my hand and put it in my mouth. I can raise my head briefly, just enough to turn it from one side to another. I love to talk but it seems nobody understands me. September 22, 2007 - My pedia did pierce my ear so I can wear the earring that Lola Naty gave me. October 13 - Daddy, Mommy and I went to Kingsborough. A place where our neighbor usually go to jog and do some exercise. Of course, I just stayed in my stoller :) October 16, 2007 (8:20pm) - On my own I did move to my side until I did lying on my stomach. |
 | | August 11, 2007, Saturday, Christening Day at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
First week of July, Mommy started planning my baptism. However, she got sick which deferred the preparation so Mommy and Daddy changed the date of baptism from July 22 to July 28 to August 4, to August 11, finally.
Weeks before August 11 Philippines was threatened by “dry spell”. Filipinos were praying for rainfall otherwise there will be a scarcity in the supply of water. God answered the prayers of the Filipinos by giving three typhoons to increase the water level at Angat Dam. The area of Malabon was flooded especially our place. The most convenient means of transportation during these times is “balsa” (a small boat). A week before my special day, it was still raining so hard. Mommy started on praying to stop the rainfall, for a while, to give way the celebration of my baptism. The rain stopped two days before the special day, God answered my prayer :) My guests were able to attend the luncheon. On August 11, our area was still flooded due to high tide and one of the dam was overflowing. We left home early to look for a “balsa” so we would not be late. This is one of my first time :) While we were having a briefing regarding the seminar, Ninang Gina, Ninong Walter and Tito Mac returned home to get my souvenir. As the ceremony was on going, they took a “balsa” to get the souvenir. With all these obstacles, finally, I am now a certified Roman Catholic. Daddy and Mommy wish me to be a good follower of Christ and practice Christ’s teaching. |
 | | August 23, 2007 - I sleep throughout the night and wake up at around 5AM. I am beginning to flail my hand toward my mouth. I smile a lot as compared to last month. My breast milk is now 5 ounces per feed excluding the in between meal, breast feeding :) I weigh 4.6 kilograms. |
 | | Therese's arms legs and legs are jerking when there is a sudden noise and she is asleep. After feeding she burps loudly. If awake and playing, she frequently turns her head. She seldom smiles, "mahal ang ngiti nya".
She did not cry much when she had her first immunization after birth. I love to see her yawning and stretching.

 | | Marie Therese was born on June 19, 2007, 9:37 in the morning, at MCU-FDT Medical Foundation Hospital, Caloocan City. She weighted 3 kilos with the length of 53 centimeters.
Therese is named after Saint Therese of Lisieux (Sister Teresa of the Child Jesus) better known as Little Flower Jesus. Marie is from the name Mary meaning “star of the sea” while Therese is the French name for Teresa meaning “one who reaps”.
While I was giving birth to Therese, the Filipinos were celebrating the birthday of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
